| POST FOR PAWS - Post for Paws is a new volunteer opportunity! Work from home in your spare time printing and posting flyers to get the word out about the various events and happenings at the shelter. Volunteers need a home computer and printer. Adults only. |

| SHELTER CLEANING - Interact with adoptable cats while providing them with a clean cage. Clean cat cages, scoop litter pans, and do dishes & laundry. These are just some of the many duties of the morning cat cleaners. Volunteers commit to one morning per week from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Adults only. |

| VOLUNTEER ADOPTION COUNSELORS - Greet people as they arrive at the shelter. Take them around to see our adoptable animals. Work with customers to match animals with suitable homes. Volunteers commit to one day per week. Hours are Monday 1 p.m.-7 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 1 p.m.-5 p.m., or Wednesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m.. Adults only. |

FELINE
INTERVENTION PROGRAM (FIP)
- Do you LOVE cats and enjoy socializing them? Volunteers
are needed to play, groom, and hang out with our adoptable
ADULT cats. No kittens participate in this program.
Hours for the program are Monday through Saturday between the
hours of 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Kids 8-17 (with a parent) and
adults can participate in our FIP program. |

| BEST FOOT FORWARD (BFF) - Do you enjoy dogs? Looking to get some exercise? Then the Best Foot Forward dog walking program is for you! Give our adoptable dogs the attention and exercise they need. Dog walking is done Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Kids 8-17 (with a parent) and adults can participate in our BFF program. Great opportunity for families, students, and retirees! |

| PET-A-PET THERAPY PROGRAM - Our Pet-A-Pet Therapy Program is a wonderful way to brighten up your day and the day of someone who needs your time and the love of your special pet. Consider sharing your favorite pet with residents of nursing homes and those with special needs. Once your pet is approved, volunteers are able to schedule the day and time each week the fits into their schedule. All Pet-A-Pet animals must be up-to-date on immunizations. Adults only. |

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM (A.S.P.) - The A.S.P. is for students 14-18 years old looking to get experience in the animal care field. The program offers students the opportunity to learn more about the day to day care of WCHS’s adoptable shelter animals. Volunteer applicants should be comfortable working with all types of animals along with a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scooping cat boxes, cage cleaning, kennel touch-ups, potty breaks for adoptable dogs, dishes, laundry, garbage/recycle duty, and general shelter upkeep. Students commit to one day per week for 2 hours each shift. Students work in a crew and must work well in this type of setting. |
