Animal Care Giver - Part Time WCHS is seeking animal lovers to work in our kennel and animal viewing areas. Your responsibilities will include the daily care, feeding, and medicating of the animals in our care, from large dogs down to small rodents. Experienced animal handling is a plus. In addition, you will be expected to keep the many areas of the shelter sanitized, clean, organized and working properly. You should be comfortable lifting both heavy dogs and large bags of dog food (50+ lbs) and be in good physical condition. You also must have excellent customer service skills as you will deal with the public daily. This is a fast paced environment and being a mature, responsible team player is essential. Part Time Animal Care Givers are on duty Monday evenings 5pm - 7:30pm, Wednesday evenings 4pm - 8:30pm, Saturday 8am - 5:30pm, Sunday 8am - 10:30am and back again on Sunday 3:30pm - 5:30pm. You will always have one weekend a month off. Starting pay: $6.50/hr.
