Happy Tails

Below are some of the happy ending stories of animals adopted from WCHS. Thank you to the individuals and families who give so many of our special friends forever homes.

Sheba

Sheba and I are a perfect match. When I first brought her home she was very shy and nervous and wouldn't go near me. Now she sleeps in my bed every night and sits next to me to watch me play video games every day. She enjoys cheetos, pizza and car rides. Sheba has adjusted to her new home very quickly and is learning how ig feels to live like a normal dog. thank you for allowing me to adopt her.
Prince

This is Prince formerly know as Scooter. We adopted him last December when he was 3 month old puppy. He has grown into a great dog. He loves all people and other dogs. He knows lots of tricks and is working on learning agility. He will be testing for his CGC soon. We want to thank all the workers and volunteers at WCHS for taking such great care of him while he was there.
Sandy Cat

Remember me? Sandy ? I finally decided to write to all the wonderful humans at the Humane Society that took care of me for so long. I miss all of you and the time I spent being the office helper, but I really do love it in my new home. I can't believe it has only been six months; I feel like I have always been a part of this family.
My human sort of renamed me---well, just added to my name, really. I am now called SandyCat. It turns out her daughter-in-law is also named Sandy . My human also likes to call me Waddles. I guess it's because of the loose skin on my belly that waddles when I run for food. (The food is really good and I can't help but run to get it.) Sometimes I even jump on the counter to try to lick out the empty can. I also like to jump in the sink and wait for someone to turn the faucet on so I can drink. (One human discourages it, but the other one that lives there will spoil me that way.) Otherwise, I drink from a fountain next to my crunchy food dish. Gushy food comes in late afternoon and I always have to start reminding my human about an hour before feeding time to make sure she does not forget. I even sneak up and swipe their food if they leave it unattended, which is not often since they found out I like to do it.
Besides my humans, I also have a fur-brother kitty ( Quincy ), and four other fur-kids they call bunnies; (Thumper and Patches, and Chunkerdoodle and Sunshine). Two bonded pairs of bunnies, one sort of bonded pair of humans, and Quincy, who I have let bond with me. All in all, it is a wonderful place to live. I get plenty of attention, but being a cat, I quite often demand even more--especially at inconvenient times for the human. They can't resist. They have promised me this is my last forever home and I really believe them. Okay, now I have to get back to my favorite pastime---curling up next to my human and purring. Take care, everyone and once again, thank you for letting that nice human take me to my forever home.

Mrs. Grimm & Scuttle

Just thought I would drop a note on how the 2 cats I adopted are doing. Mrs. Grimm, now Shadow, adapted right away and had no issues. She is doing fine and has even had her trip to the vet. She is still a cuddle cat! Scuttle was a little shy at first but after a visit from my grand-daughter last Sunday he is doing just fine. After his initial shyness Scuttle is even becoming a cuddle cat himself. He loves having his belly rubbed! He really liked it today when it got warm enough to open a few windows and he could sit by the window and watch the birds. My Grand-daughter has really taken a liking to these cats. She turns 6 next week so they will have many years together. I think it has all worked out really well!
