Welcome to WCHS. Friendly faces and soft pals greet you in the front lobby. Come in and have a seat. See who comes to visit you! Our cat playrooms were designed to have the feel of a typical living room with a variety of cat toys and furniture. This gives our cats a comfortable feeling and a chance to socialize with other cats and humans!
Cats available for adoption. Cats available for adoption. Large kennels house our available dogs for adoption. Information cards are on each kennel with a description of the dog, along with any personality traits, and important information. Volunteer staff regularly visit and play with each dog individually, making each animal comfortable and giving them extra playtime during their stay at WCHS.
Each animal is walked 3 times a day by our animal care givers. They also have playtime and an extra walk by our dedicated volunteer staff. This room has many uses! During the holiday's it holds our "Festival of Trees" event. In the evenings, it serves as a dog training facility. But most importantly, it is our dog playroom, dog socialization room, and our dog meet room. This area has our small furry critters. Here you will find, Rabbits, Ferrets, Gerbils, Hamsters, Rats, Birds, and More! When you are ready to adopt, this room allows you to come in and talk with an adoption counselor to find the best fitting cat for you. Here you can bring in a specific cat to spend quality time with and talk to your counselor about it's personality, likes, dislikes, and any other important information. Similar to the Cat Counseling Room, when you are ready to adopt, this room allows you to come in and talk with an adoption counselor to find the best fitting dog for you. Here you can bring in a specific dog to spend quality time with and talk to your counselor about it's personality, likes, dislikes, and any other important information.
