Why
We Need Your Help
|
|
-
Since we do not euthanize for
space and do not put a time limit on adoptable animals, they can
remain in our care for many, many months, sometimes surpassing a
year.
-
The approximate average length
of stay of our dogs is 2-3 weeks, while cats are closer to 2-3
months due to the large volume.
-
The approximate average cost to
care for a dog until it’s adopted is $350, with a cat ranging
from $750-$1000. Multiply those numbers by 4,000, the average
number of animals we care for each year, to see how the
costs can really add up!
-
In addition to general care,
many of our animals need medical treatment for illness and
injuries.
-
We do not
receive government funding, or funding
from any state or
national humane organizations.
